Is There A Sustainable Water Future?

We believe so, and we are on a mission to prove it. Jump in with us and learn about how we produce the healthiest water, and the cleanest salt, using the Sun's rays, from a plentiful water resource that covers more than 70% of the surface of our beautiful planet.

The Marriage of Two Industries

Why do salt makers use tons of fossil fuels to evaporate freshwater(a valuable resource) out of seawater to collect the salt, while at the same time, watermakers use tons of fossil fuels to extract freshwater from seawater, and dump that hyper-salinated brine back into the ocean with additional toxic chemicals used during processing?

That run-on question could have been much longer, but we wanted to spare you the pain. Seriously, why though?

Isn't there a way to extract valuable freshwater, as well as the valuable minerals, all while raising seawater quality? Would it be possible to use Solar Thermal energy, pretty much in the same way that Mother Nature has executed this process since the beginning of time? There are better ways to accomplish these goals, why are they not being used? Could it be done with zero waste? In the very least, could it be done with no hyper-salinated brine dumping?  Maybe no toxic chemical dumping as well?  Could this operation help people too?  Could it help develop sustainable arid agriculture?  Could it help global coastal communities build an agriculture economy to thrive and even succeed? Might it be possible to help curb water conflict, water borne disease, and other water crises? For those that have access to clean water, could it help provide people with healthier waters, healthier salts?  Could it be sold in healthier and sustainable packaging, or possibly no packaging at all? How many other advantages would a system like this spawn?

Come along for the ride...

...and enjoy the best local sea salt that you've ever encountered. We are also putting together a video and blog series bringing these industries together, along with all of the fun regulatory agencies and engineering firms. Our person favorites are the chef series, where we focus on restaurants and chefs that are doing their part to lighten their environmental impact, to keep their food transportation miles down, and to provide the healthiest food possible. Jump over to the About page to engage in the saga that is our journey.

One of the goals of our deployment is to make these sustainable water and salt harvesting systems modular, so that anyone that is near a coastline and has a reasonable amount of sunlight, can have access to fresh, clean, healthy, sustainable, and LOCAL water and salt.

There is no reason to ship these vital resources across the globe, or store for months on end in warehouses or shipping yards.

PROUDLY SUPPORTS THE PACIFIC INSTITUTE
Every drop matters. Our goal is not only to create a truly sustainable water company, but to overhaul the existing water industry to ease the strain on our planet through conservation of water, energy, and all of our precious resources. We believe that The Pacific Institute has paved the way for conservation efforts such as the one that is our life's blood...WATER. This is why we choose to partner with a dynamic program such as theirs. Together, we can change the face of drought and water crisis around the globe.
